AKREDITASI

Program Studi Sastra Inggris memperoleh status Akreditasi A dengan nilai 364 pada Tahun 2011 berdasarkan Keputusan Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi No.034/BANPT/AkXIV/51/X/2011 yang berlaku sampai dengan 28 Oktober 2016.

SEJARAH

Pembukaan Program Studi Sastra Inggris di Fakultas Adab dan Humaniora telah dirintis sejak Tahun Akademik 1999/2000. Secara resmi, Program Studi Sastra Inggris memperoleh Izin Operasional dari Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional setahun berikutnya, yakni pada Tahun Akademik 2000/2001 melalui Surat Nomor 088796/MPN/2001 tertanggal 22 Nopember 2001, dan melalui SK Dirjen Bagais Depag Nomor Dj.II/63/2002, Tanggal 25 Juni 2002.

VISI

Menjadi Program Studi terkemuka dalam bidang bahasa dan kesusastraan Inggris berbasis riset, integritas, dan kontektualisasi ilmu di Asia Tenggara pada Tahun 2020

MISI

1. Melaksanakan kegiatan pendidikan dan pengajaran melalui kegiatan perkuliahan, seminar, dan pelatihan dalam bidang Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris;

2. Melakukan kegiatan penelitian di bidang bahasa dan sastra Inggris serta menghubungkannya dengan kajian sastra dan budaya Islam; dan

3. Melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan merespon permasalahan yang terjadi dalam bidang bahasa dan sastra Inggris.

TUJUAN

Tujuan Program Studi Sastra Inggris adalah menghasilkan lulusan yang berakhlak mulia yang memiliki kemampuan akademik dan profesional dalam bidang bahasa dan sastra Inggris.

KOMPETENSI LULUSAN

1. Lulusan memiliki kemampuan berbahasa Inggris aktif untuk mengemukakan dan menuliskan gagasan, serta memberikan analisis terkait minatnya.

2. Lulusan menguasai teori kesusastraan dan linguistik, baik klasik maupun modern secara komprehensif, serta mampu menerapkannya dalam aktifitas penelitian.

3. Lulusan memberikan kontribusi kepada masyarakat, baik nasional maupun internasional, sesuai keilmuannya di bidang bahasa dan sastra inggris.

ACCREDITATION

The English Literature Study Program obtained an Accreditation A status with a value of 364 in 2011 based on the Decree of the Higher Education National Accreditation Agency No.034 / BANPT / AkXIV / 51 / X / 2011 which is valid until October 28, 2016.

HISTORY

The opening of the English Literature Study Program at the Adab and Humanities Faculty has been pioneered since the 1999/2000 Academic Year. Officially, the English Literature Study Program obtained an Operational Permit from the Ministry of National Education the following year, namely in the Academic Year 2000/2001 through Letter Number 088796 / MPN / 2001 dated November 22, 2001, and through the Decree of the Director General of the Ministry of Religion Number Dj.II / 63 / 2002, June 25, 2002.

VISION

To become a leading Study Program in the field of English language and literature based on research, integrity and contextualization of science in Southeast Asia in 2020

MISSION

1. Carry out educational and teaching activities through lectures, seminars, and training activities in the field of English Language and Literature;

2. Conducting research activities in the field of English language and literature and linking them to the study of Islamic literature and culture; and

3. Doing community service by responding to problems that occur in the field of English language and literature.

AIM

The aim of the English Literature Study Program is to produce graduates of noble character who have academic and professional skills in the fields of English language and literature.

COMPETENCE OF GRADUATES

1. Graduates have the ability to speak English actively to express and write ideas, and provide an analysis related to their interests.

2. Graduates master literary and linguistic theories, both classical and modern in a comprehensive manner, and are able to apply them in research activities.

3. Graduates contribute to the community, both nationally and internationally, according to their knowledge in the field of English language and literature.
